y husband Jim calls me “the world’s oldest living teenager" . . . I tell him he was born old. When opposites attract, it is powerful. And that's how the relentless lure of the Lowcountry beckoned a born and bred city girl like me. The city, in my case, was our state capitol, Columbia.
Columbia, like Beaufort, is a river city. My love of kayaking I brought with me to Beaufort; a skill I learned on inland rivers. But here, the slick, glassy waters of the island marshes and creeks, rich with
God and nature, are a padder's paradise. Here, I glide effortlessly across the waters, escorted by dolphin, startled by a jump
or slither.

I have 3 sons; Todd, Brandon and Ryan. Todd lives and works in Columbia. Brandon is a Navy Avionics Tech stationed near Seattle. Ryan is a junior at Beaufort High on Lady’s Island. My husband is a Lowcountry native with a passion for fishing and boating. Jim retired from the S.C. Department of Natural Resources and currently serves as Executive Director of The Harry Hampton Memorial Wildlife Fund.
Having a fisherman husband, plus boat after boat after boat means one thing for sure; we love Beaufort (and, we eat a lot of fish)!
Along my path, I've made my way from an art degree into the restaurant business, then into real estate . . . where I've found my true career home.
